Please find a new friend in our classroom and read The Name Jar, by Yangsook Choi. When you are done, answer the questions with your friend.

Social Studies Standard 1: (Culture): Students will recognize and describe how people within their community, state, and nation are both similar and different.

Edtech Standard #6: Use telecommunications efficiently and effectively to access remote information and communicate with others in support of direct and independent learning and for pursuit of personal interests.

For the assignment today students will find a new friend to read a book with.  Then, with their new friend they will answer the questions and think of ways they can be a good friend.
